What is TAP?

The Teacher Acquisition Programme (TAP) is an initiative of the Ministry of School and Further Education of the federal state North Rhine-Westfalia in Germany. The target is to gain teachers from abroad for teaching English as a foreign language and content and language integrated learning in the subjects biology, history and geography. Applicants with a university degree in English, another foreign language, biology, history or geography are welcome.

What does North Rhine-Westphalia have to offer?

North Rhine-Westfalia is one of the most important business locations in the heart of Europe offering plenty of opportunities if you are interested in business, culture, sports or nature. Discover the Bonn Museum Mile with many different museums, or admire the 750-year-old cathedral in North Rhine-Westfalia’s biggest city Cologne. You can also enjoy the breath-taking scenery of castles at the banks of the river Rhine in the charming lower Rhine area. The regional capital Düsseldorf might be recommended for a shopping trip with its excellent shops and galleries. For sports enthusiasts there is hiking through forests and winter sports high lights in the ‘Sauerland’, or the bicycle paradise ‘Münsterland’.
